 Becoming a Sponsor

Garage Cinema Research provides a unique opportunity for sponsors to work with faculty and students at the forefront of digital media research. Situated within the University of California at Berkeley's School of Information Management and Systems (SIMS), Garage Cinema Research is an interdisciplinary hotbed of innovation, vision, and creativity that will shape the future of digital media. We are researching and developing the technologies, applications, and methodologies that will enable sponsors to envision and implement next-generation solutions in a variety of markets: telecommunications, marketing, enterprise solutions, education, and entertainment.

By offering research support and/or equipment grants, sponsors can benefit from many opportunities to interact with Garage Cinema Research including sponsor visits, faculty consulting, student internships and recruiting, and communicating with other Garage Cinema Research sponsors and SIMS Affiliates. Garage Cinema Research can also work with sponsor companies on directed research and development projects as well as technology licensing and transfer.

To learn more about becoming a sponsor of Garage Cinema Research, please contact Professor Marc Davis at  marc@sims.berkeley.edu.
